Headed by Ph.D in Hydrology Dr. Erfan Tousi, NextGen Research and Development applies the latest downscaled climate change models in order to determine projected rainfall. These projections are essential to the creation of functional designs of roads and waterways.
NextGen has published a peer reviewed paper in the scientific journal Sustainable Cities and Society, and has a service contract with the Pima County Regional Flood Control District to predict changes in rainfall and increasing temperatures for Pima County.
Our climate change services represent the intersection of sustainability and functional design. We are passionate about studying the effects of climate change in order to develop relevant models that will benefit civil designers and our local community.
