Parklands is a Hydrology, Hydraulics, Civil Design and Permitting project in Ventura, California.
NextGen was responsible for design of hydraulic structures, extending existing culverts, addition of a detention basin and water quality treatment basin, and floodplain mapping for Brown Barranca in California. This is the creek (barranca) portion of a 66.5-acre housing development.
Permit applications include the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Letter of Map Revision (LOMR), and Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) process, in addition to CalTrans, City and Ventura, and County of Ventura Floodplain and Watercourse permits.
· Analysis includes WSPG and HEC-RAS modeling, civil design and drawings, mitigation measures, and project management. NextGen completed the designs and permits for construction of culverts, a bridge, and other hydraulic structures and appurtenances in the Brown Barranca and initiated preliminary jurisdictional approvals. Efforts also have required preparing a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). This project is now a construction oversight project.
